Background in the welding? Fancy sharing your skills & knowledge with the next generation?
We’re looking for someone patient and super-organised to work in our Welding team to teach our apprenticeships and evening welding courses.
You’ll need to be:
• positive, supportive and patient
• organised and reliable
• able to inspire students with your infectious enthusiasm and energy
• experienced in several welding disciplines e.g. MIG, MAG, TIG, fabrication…
• willing to work towards coded welding status (or already be coded)
• able to explain things simply and clearly
What you’ll be doing…
• welding and fabrication training to apprentices and wider industry
• developing the welding curriculum
• marking work, tracking progress and giving feedback
• supporting, training and mentoring the next generation of welders
• delivering training to the community
*The hourly rate includes additional elements for holiday pay, preparation and marking.
