The International School of The Hague (ISH) is seeking an exceptional Vice Principal Student Wellbeing & Culture to join our Senior Leadership Team. In this pivotal role, you will lead our student support vision across the Secondary School, creating a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where every student is known, valued, and empowered to flourish both academically and personally.
About the roleAs Vice Principal Student Wellbeing & Culture, you will work closely with the Principal, fellow Vice Principals, and our dedicated team of Deputy Heads and Student Wellbeing Coordinator. You will bridge high-level strategy with day-to-day operational excellence, driving our wellbeing, behaviour, inclusion, and safeguarding systems forward.
In this role, you will:
Stand ready to serve as a visible role model for the values and behaviours of the ISH Community Profile.
Lead, implement, and evaluate the school's student support vision, fostering a deep sense of belonging and community.
Line manage and empower key pastoral leaders, including Deputy Heads of School and the Student Wellbeing Coordinator.
Chair regular holistic student support leadership meetings to ensure consistent, high-quality care across all year groups.
Provide strategic oversight of safeguarding frameworks, ensuring a proactive culture where student welfare is everyone's responsibility.
Champion student voice, ensuring our young people actively inform decision-making and school improvement.
Drive restorative practices, positive behaviour interventions, and inclusive education strategies across the Secondary School.
Serve as an approachable, visible presence for students, staff, and families, building strong bridges between home and school
