The Opportunity Barnsley College is seeking an experienced and motivated Carpentry and Joinery Trainer to join our Apprenticeships team within Engineering and Construction. This role plays a vital part in supporting apprentices to develop the knowledge, skills and behaviours required to succeed in their trade and achieve successful completion of their apprenticeship. You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, delivering and assessing learning across the Carpentry and Joinery apprenticeship standards, supporting apprentices both in college and in the workplace. A key focus of the role is preparing learners for end‑point assessment while ensuring off‑the‑job training requirements are met and recorded accurately. Working closely with employers, you will act as the main point of contact for a caseload of apprentices, building strong relationships and ensuring all parties are clear about expectations at each stage of the apprenticeship journey. You will contribute to quality assurance activity and support continuous improvement across the curriculum area.
