About this role
The University Guidance and Career Planning Office provides a comprehensive program for students in grades 9–12, supporting every step of the university selection, application, and admissions process while helping students plan for long-term career success. Grounded in Dwight’s pillars of personalized learning, community and global vision, our counselor (s) works one-on-one with students to develop individualized application strategies that reflect their interests, aspirations, and academic profiles.
The program extends beyond university applications—offering robust support for summer planning, extracurricular development, and career exploration, with a clear focus on student pathways from high school to university and beyond.
Community partnership is a key pillar of the program. The counselor will engage families through information sessions, workshops, and individual consultations to ensure transparency, build trust, and equip parents to play an active role in their child’s journey. The office also creates opportunities for students, parents and faculty to gain insight into evolving higher education trends and expectations. The office plays a critical role in fostering strong connections with the university admissions community, regularly hosting representatives on campus.
The counselor is expected to stay up to date with the global admissions landscape and deliver programming that is forward-looking, inclusive, and community-oriented—empowering students and families to make informed, confident decisions and to grow Dwight’s reputation in the market.
