This is a rare and exciting opportunity to join an outstanding and ambitious founding team at King's College School, The Bahamas, Inspired's premium school on the island paradise of The Bahamas, which continues to grow following its opening in August 2022. The school now runs from Nursery to Y10 and in September 2025 opened its doors to the brand-new state of the art boarding house. The school will open to Y11 in August 2026, adding Y12 and Y13 in the follow two academic years.
We are now looking to appoint an experienced University & Careers Counsellor.
As a University & Careers Counsellor, you’ll be responsible for supporting students in making informed decisions about their academic, university/college, and career pathways.
The role provides personalised up-to-date guidance and support to students on higher education options, career planning and university/college applications, helping students to maximise their potential and achieve successful post-study outcomes.
The post holder will work closely with students and their families to understand their individual strengths, interests, and goals, and help them identify suitable university/college options to support their chosen pathways.
Key Responsibilities
Conducting one-on-one counselling sessions with students to assess their academic, extracurricular, and personal backgrounds, and develop personalized college / university admission plans.
Assisting students in researching colleges and universities (primarily US, UK and Europe as locations), including evaluating academic programs, campus culture, and financial aid opportunities.
Providing guidance on standardized testing requirements, preparation strategies, and registration procedures for exams such as the SAT and ACT.
Guide students through application processes (e.g. UCAS or equivalent), including personal statements, course selection, admissions tests, and interviews.
Organizing and facilitating college / university visits, information s
