About this role
Role Purpose:
The Ulink Extend Programme Facilitator is responsible for leading and coordinating a year-long professional development initiative designed to support and elevate teaching practice. The role focuses on moving beyond subject expertise to develop teachers' pedagogical strategies, assessment techniques, and reflective habits to ensure outstanding student learning. The facilitator will cultivate a collaborative culture centred on the core principles of reflection, observation, and learning from experienced colleagues, thereby embedding a continuous improvement mindset across the teaching staff.
Key responsibilities:
•Programme Leadership
-Coordinate and manage the Ulink Extend Programme across the academic year.
-Ensure alignment of programme activities with its aims and core principles: Reflection, Observation, and Learning from Experienced Colleagues.
-Monitor participation and progress of teachers enrolled in the programme.
•Professional Development Delivery
-Facilitate bi-weekly activities and discussions based on the programme syllabus.
-Organise observation opportunities for participants and provide constructive feedback.
-Promote reflective practice through structured sessions and individual coaching.
•Collaboration and Support
-Liaise with experienced colleagues to create opportunities for peer learning.
-Act as a mentor and resource for teachers, offering guidance on teaching strategies, curriculum understanding, and assessment practices.
-Encourage the integration of technology and innovative pedagogies in classroom practice.
•Quality Assurance
-Track and evaluate the impact of the programme on teaching quality and student outcomes over time.
-Maintain accurate records of attendance, engagement, and progress.
-Report regularly to the Academic Centre Director on programme effectiveness.
