About this role
Job Purpose:
This is an exciting and innovative opportunity to take on a senior leadership role dedicated solely to strengthening safeguarding culture, practice and systems across our Lumero family of schools.
The primary purpose of the role is to support robust and exemplary safeguarding practice across all schools within the trust, working closely with school-based leaders while reporting to the Trust’s central Executive team. The postholder will design, implement and embed high-impact safeguarding strategies that ensure all pupils are safe, supported and able to thrive, as part of a wider trust improvement strategy.
This is a trust-wide role from the outset, working across both primary and secondary phases. The successful candidate will work in partnership with Headteachers, Designated Safeguarding Leads (DSLs), pastoral teams and external agencies to ensure consistency, rigour and excellence in safeguarding practice across all settings.
This role is both strategic and operational and will require visibility and engagement across multiple schools. As a senior trust leader, the successful candidate will be expected to influence practice at all levels, ensuring safeguarding systems are robust, responsive and child-centred.
