Trainee Social Worker

Applications are now open for the 2027 cohort of Approach Social Work. Teachers have been among the strongest candidates for Approach Social Work, a fully funded three-year programme to become a children’s social worker. You’ll train while working with children and families, receive an £18,000–£20,000 tax-free bursary in year one, and move into a guaranteed paid role after successfully completing that year. No prior social work experience is needed.
