UNIS Hanoi - Position Description Position: Tentative - P/T Part-time (MYP) Physical & Health Teacher Division: Middle//High School (Grades 6-10) Reports to: Secondary Principal At UNIS Hanoi, we value cultivating personal and academic excellence through: Our approaches to teaching and learning Concept-based, disciplinary and transdisciplinary teaching A Multi-tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) Approach to ensure access for all learners Varied assessment strategies to allow students to showcase their strengths and progress Strong connections and relationships between students, colleagues and parents Duties and Responsibilities Teach Physical and Health Education throughout the UNIS MYP program (Gr. 6-10) Provide a differentiated program of instruction that incorporates high expectations for all learners Deliver the curriculum within the philosophy of the school, the MYP framework, and a UDL approach Work collaboratively with colleagues both within the PHE Department and the greater school community Assess and report student academic progress in alignment with the UNIS Hanoi philosophy of assessment and Approaches to Learning (ATLs) Share in the overall responsibility for the academic progress, personal development, health and safety, discipline and well-being of students Support the co-curricular program by demonstrating a commitment to coaching Provide timely communication to parents Attend biweekly meetings with the Grade Level teachers to discuss student concerns, plan events, discuss test results, etc. Pursue professional development and model life-long learning Participate in team planning and curriculum development Contribute to the UNIS school improvement plan by serving on committees and other shared decision-making groups Become an active member within the UNIS community: advisory, coaching sports, after-school activities, student clubs, and community service activities Participate enthusiastically in morning meetings, house events, and assemblies Demonst
