Technician - Visual & Performing Arts

Penistone Grammar School has an exciting opportunity for a permanent, full-time Technician to join our Visual & Performing Arts team from September 2026. Contract: Permanent, full-time, 35 hours per week Term Time (39 weeks) Salary Range: Grade 4, SCP 7-11 (£26,403 - £28,142 per annum FTE). Actual Salary: £21,733 - £23,165 per annum. Start Date: September 2026 The Technician is an integral part of the curriculum team and as a Technician, the successful candidate will ensure the appropriate equipment and resources are prepared and available for lessons. You will also support teaching staff and students in practical lessons as well as running enrichment activities during lunches and after school. You will have experience of working in a performing arts related environment, experience in or be willing to train in setting up instruments, sound and lighting, and have the ability to work well as part of team whilst maintaining responsibility for your own work load. To support our seasonal concerts and events, you will be required to work outside normal core working hours on occasions during the academic year.
