Northway School is a dedicated SEND school located in the London Borough of Barnet, that is committed to providing an inclusive and supportive learning environment for all students. We are currently seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join our team. This role offers the opportunity to work across the whole school supporting pupils with special educational needs and disabilities.
We require teaching assistants in our outstanding special school (OFSTED 2024) to work with our amazing special needs pupils in a stimulating and supportive environment. We are looking to appoint caring, resilient and patient teaching assistants to join our fun and lively team.
Northway is split over 3 sites (Primary - NW7 3HS & EN5 2BY, Secondary - NW7 2BU) and we are looking for teaching assistants across all of them - this will be explored with you at interview, if you are shortlisted.
Skills and Qualifications:
- A genuine interest in working with children and young people with SEND
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Patience, empathy, and understanding towards individual learning needs
- Willingness to learn new skills on the job
