Teaching Assistant with intervention for EAL

About the Role We are seeking a dedicated, proactive and passionate EAL Intervention Lead to join the Learning Support Team at Noel Baker Academy. Working under the direction of the SENCO, you will support pupils’ participation, progress and attainment across the curriculum, with a particular focus on students for whom English is an Additional Language (EAL). You will play a key role in identifying and addressing barriers to learning, ensuring that appropriate academic, language and pastoral support is in place to help pupils achieve their full potential. The role involves delivering targeted interventions, providing individual and small-group support, adapting resources to improve curriculum access, and supporting pupils to develop confidence in their English language skills. You will work closely with teaching staff, families and external agencies to monitor progress, maintain accurate records and implement effective strategies that enable EAL pupils to access learning, make strong progress and fully participate in academy life.
