Teaching Assistant - Visual Impairment Support

Required from September 2026 Term Time only plus INSET Days / Twilight sessions 32.5 hours per week, 8.30am – 4.00pm Actual Salary from £23,608 (depending on experience) Fixed Term – supporting a Year 7 pupil until they leave Wellington School We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive team and provide dedicated 1:1 support for a visually impaired student, ensuring access to the curriculum and promoting independence. You will work closely with the class teachers, SENCO and external specialists to support their learning and development in line with their Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), including the preparation and modification of materials in a range of formats. Training and ongoing support will be provided including specialist input from Trafford Sensory Impairment Support Service.
