Teaching Assistant (2 vacancies)
Contract term: Permanent, Full-time
Contract type:Term-Time only, 35 hours per week. The working hours are 08:15-15:45
Scale:Grade 3, Points 5 (£26,427 FTE), which equates to a pro rata salary of £22,149.
This is a great opportunity to come and work in our highly rated secondary school in central Manchester. To provide comprehensive support to the students’ learning, wellbeing and inclusion, particularly those with SEND, delivering targeted interventions, monitoring progress, assisting with classroom management, safeguarding, behaviour support, administrative tasks, and promoting students’ independence while contributing positively to the school community.
WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:Experience and understanding of safeguarding and child protection issues, or be willing to undertake training in these areas;
Numeracy and literacy skills at least equivalent to RQF Level 2;
Qualified to NVQ L2 TA or equivalent qualifications or experience; or willingness to obtain one;
Ideally have the following relevant knowledge and/or experience:
High level administrative skills and an excellent eye for detail;
Willingness to drive mini bus and access to own transport;
Be professional, flexible and innovative, with experience of undertaking a wide variety of duties and an ability to deal skillfully with unanticipated situations;
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work well within a team, yet able to demonstrate an ability to work unsupervised utilising their own initiative;
Well organised with an adaptable and positive approach to all aspects of the workload;
Supportive of the school's excellent staff attendance and punctuality record, which in turn supports student attainment.
Training will be provided on safeguarding and school specific IT applications.
