About the Role
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience working with pupils with ASD and/or SLCN
• Understands structured teaching and communication-focused approaches
• Is interested in developing their own skills to best support the children
• Is reflective and committed to continual improvement
• Believes inclusion works best when it is shared across the whole school
The role will include:
• Supporting teaching within the Specialist Resource Provision and across the wider school community
• Supporting the implementation of classroom routines, structures and communication systems
• Helping pupils access learning within the SRP and, where appropriate, supporting successful integration into mainstream lessons
• Working closely with teachers, therapists and external professionals to meet pupils’ individual needs
• Supporting the development of staff understanding and effective practice for pupils with ASD and SLCN across the school
• Contributing to EHCP reviews, pupil targets and personalised learning pathways
Support and leadership
You will be well supported by an experienced and engaged lead teacher and senior leadership team. The provision is a key part of the school’s development and leaders will work alongside you to ensure it is consistent, sustainable and successful. You will have regular feedback and opportunities to develop your skills.
