Post Title: Teaching Assistant Role D – Alternative Provision Salary & Grade NJC Scale 6 (SP 19-22) £29,200 – £30,692 (Actual) Contract Type Full-time, term-time only, 47.36 paid weeks per year Contract Term Permanent Contract Hours 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:00 pm (30-minute unpaid break per day) Start Date September 2026 Hove Park School is seeking to appoint an experienced and committed Grade D Teaching Assistant to join our inclusive and ambitious SEND and Alternative Provision team. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a vital role in the planning and running of our Alternative Provision, supporting young people who may experience barriers to learning linked to Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will work closely with students who require an alternative to the mainstream curriculum, helping them to develop the emotional regulation, resilience, confidence and learning strategies needed to successfully access classroom learning and wider school life. The role offers a genuine opportunity to make a lasting impact on young people’s educational experiences and long-term outcomes.
