About this role
At Castlefield Campus, as a part of Ambition Community Trust, we are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistants to join our committed and relationally inclusive team at the Pathways department.
This position is offered as a fixed-term contract for one year and may be renewed depending on the school’s needs, including factors such as funding and staffing structure. There is also the potential for the candidate to be considered for a permanent role in the future.
We are recruiting for experienced Teaching Assistants who excel as part of a team and has an understanding of a range of teaching, learning and behaviour regulation strategies. The successful candidate will join an enthusiastic and welcoming team and will join us in motivating students to strive for success while maintaining a healthy learning environment for all children within the school.
A Pathways Teaching assistant / Keyworker, includes supporting disengaged pupils in the community, or at home, within the environment that best supports their educational needs. This will also include working together in partnership with school, families, and agencies to overcome pupils' barriers to learn.
Please note this is a driving role, and you will need a vehicle, a drivers license and business insurance to fulfil the role.
This role will involve:
• Working with a wide range of class teachers to deliver excellent teaching and learning.
• Mentoring children on a 1:1 or group basis.
• Accompanying groups on trips.
• Supporting assessment and evidencing learning.
• Working with the teacher to create learning resources and environments.
• Maintaining a safe and positive environment for all learners.
• Creating opportunities for all learners to reach their potential, irrespective of ability.
• Engaging with hard to reach pupils and families to support them with education and beyond
The right candidate will:
• Be educated to National Qualifications Framework Level 3 standard, e.g. NVQ 3, A/AS levels or equivalent.
