  • Salary – TA, Scale C £13.26 and MSA, Scale A £12.85 per hour
  • Permanent
  • TA – 22.5 hours per week (M-F), Term Time plus 1 week
  • MSA – 2.5 hours per week (M-F)
  • Required from October 2026 or ASAP


About the Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teaching Assistant to join our team. The successful candidate will support children in a nurturing, stimulating and inclusive learning environment that promotes curiosity, confidence and a love of learning.


You will work closely with the class teacher to support children’s learning, development and wellbeing in line with KS1 Programme of Study

Key Responsibilities

  • Observe, record and contribute to assessments of children’s progress
  • Provide individual and small-group support, including for children with SEND or additional needs
  • Support the class teacher to create a safe, inclusive, well-organised and purposeful learning environment
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold safeguarding responsibilities
  • Promote positive behaviour and social development
  • Work collaboratively with staff, parents and carers

  • A genuine passion for Primary Education and child development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, staff and parents

  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare

Desirable (but not essential)

  • Relevant qualification (e.g. Level 2 or Level 3 in Early Years or Childcare)
  • Previous experience working in an EYFS and or/KS1 setting
  • Knowledge of supporting children with additional needs
