Grade D SCP 6-11
£14,817 - £16,045 per annum (actual salary)
+ SNA Allowance up to £877* (actual salary)
25 hours per week (Monday to Friday)
Part-time & Full-time will be considered.
10am – 3.00pm includes half hour lunch and a 20-minute break
Term Time plus 2 days
(Required September 2026)
*Special Needs Allowance (SNA) is awarded upon successful completion of the six-month probationary period
An opportunity has arisen within our successful and highly skilled team for a teaching assistant to join our school. At Turton our children are fiercely loyal, and so we are looking for someone who is just as committed to them.
Our Learning Support department is looking for suitably motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join a large team of friendly Teaching Assistants. The Learning Support Department engages with a range of students with additional needs, including communication and interaction, cognition and learning, SEMH, sensory and physical difficulties. Duties will include supporting in mainstream lessons, working with pupils in small groups or 1 to 1 sessions, to progress pupil learning both educationally and personally, encouraging their engagement in lessons whilst promoting inclusion and the holistic development of the pupil.
Any pastoral position is highly fluid, but the things we can guarantee are:
