20 hours per week term time only (34 weeks term time plus attendance at INSET and Safeguarding training)
8.30am to 12.30pm Monday to Friday
£9,834.58 per annum (pro rata of £24,867 )
Sibford are seeking a Teaching Assistant (SEND) who supports the learning, progress and well-being of pupils with SEND through in-class support and the delivery of targeted interventions.
Sibford is an all-through school, and the Teaching Assistant may work across all phases from Key Stage 1 to Key Stage 5.
Working under the direction of the SENCO, and SFL teachers, the post holder contributes to effective SEND provision by implementing planned
strategies, enabling pupils to access the curriculum and make progress.
The successful candidate must:
GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade C/4 or above
Have a willingness to undertake training in SEND and relevant areas
Experience working with children or young people
Experience supporting learning in a classroom or similar setting
Basic understanding of SEND and inclusive education
Awareness of safeguarding and child protection procedures
Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
Ability to support pupils’ learning and engagement
Patient, supportive and empathetic approach
Commitment to inclusion and enabling pupils to achieve their potential
Willingness to learn and develop
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
