Teaching Assistant (TA) Vacancy 

Job details: 

Job title: Teaching Assistant (TA). 

Salary: Grade 5

Hours: 20 hours per week. Monday to Friday (4 hours per day). 

Contract type: Part-time, fixed-term until 31st August 2027. 

Reporting to: Headteacher.

Location: Bream C of E Primary School in the first instance. The appointment is to Severn Federation Academy Trust and you could be required to work in any school in the Trust. 

Start Date: ASAP.

The Role:

We are looking for an enthusiastic and compassionate Teaching Assistant to support pupils in their learning journey.

The successful candidate will:

• Assist in delivering engaging lessons.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support.

• Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

• Support children’s social and emotional development.

• Work collaboratively with teachers and staff.

We are looking for a candidate who:

• Demonstrates strong numeracy and literacy skills.

• Has a sound understanding of teaching phonics.

• Effectively supports children’s learning and progress.

• Promotes positive behaviour management strategies.

• Builds strong relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

• Works collaboratively as part of a team.

• Communicates effectively with both children and adults.

• Is committed to the Christian ethos of our school.
