Teaching Assistant

Leicester Grammar Junior School is seeking an enthusiastic, caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our thriving school community on a fixed-term contract for one year. This is an exciting opportunity to support children in reaching their full potential within a warm, nurturing and academically ambitious environment. Working under the direction of the class teachers, you will provide both general and targeted support to pupils, helping to inspire confidence, encourage independent learning and build resilience. You will play a key role in supporting children's academic progress, wellbeing and personal development. We are looking for someone who is organised, adaptable and an excellent communicator, with the ability to build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues. You will have a genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development, a strong understanding of safeguarding, and the creativity and commitment to help every child flourish. A relevant Teaching Assistant or education qualification is essential, and applicants must have the right to work in the UK. Previous experience of working in a school, supporting primary-aged children or holding a First Aid qualification would be advantageous. 22 hours 45 minutes per week, worked over three days, Term time plus INSET days (35 weeks per year) Fixed-term contract for one year.
