Teaching Assistant

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will support class teachers in delivering engaging and effective lessons, helping pupils to become confident, curious and enthusiastic learners. They will play a key role in supporting pupils to make excellent progress. In addition, the Teaching Assistant will lead one-to-one and small group sessions under the direction of the class teacher or the SENDCo (Prep). This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals considering a career in education; however, applications are welcomed from candidates with a range of experience. The Teaching Assistant will be appointed by the Head of STAHS Prep, with line management delegated to a member of the Prep School Leadership Team. This is a permanent position offered on a full-time (35 weeks per year – term time only, including INSET). The working hours are from 8.00am – 5.00pm with a 30-minute unpaid lunchbreak each day. The preferred start date for this position is 01 September 2026.
