Roehampton Gate School are recruiting for a Teaching Assistant to join our Education team! We are looking for versatile, resilient and committed Learning Support Assistants, who can adapt their practice wherever necessary to support across all key stages. The successful candidate will work alongside the class teacher, assisting the children with their work and supporting with pupil behaviour while establishing good relationships with pupils, acting as a role model and responding to individual needs.

About the school:
Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 - 16 and offering a Post 16 Campus from 16-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. We aim to deliver the highest level of education and care according to individual needs in a safe, positive and structured environment
Key Responsibilities:
Support pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN)
Work under the guidance of the class teacher and senior staff to deliver tailored learning activities
Provide 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculum
Assist with implementing individual education plans (IEPs), behaviour support plans, and care plans
Promote a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress, behaviour, and wellbeing
Assist with classroom preparation, resources, and daily routines
Support pupils during transitions, break times, and off-site activities
Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other professionals
Adhere to safeguarding, health and safety, and Aspris policies at all times
