The Opportunity
As a Teaching and Learning Coach you will play a key role in shaping a culture of everyday excellence by supporting staff to deliver exceptional learning experiences for all students.
You will contribute to the strategic development of Teaching Learning and Assessment across the college working collaboratively with curriculum managers and colleagues to champion innovation reflective practice and continuous professional development. You will design and deliver impactful development activities offer personalised coaching and lead on initiatives that enhance the quality of teaching and learning. While working as part of the wider Teaching and Learning team coaches will be closely aligned to curriculum departments using their subject and sector expertise to support improvement innovation and professional growth within their designated areas.
A central aspect of the role will involve supporting and strengthening our observation processes. As part of the college’s observation team, you will carry out high-quality observations of Teaching Learning and Assessment providing clear verbal and written feedback and producing developmental action plans that lead to sustainable improvement. You will also participate in training moderation and standardisation activities to ensure accuracy and rigour in observation outcomes.
Working within a supportive and forward-thinking team you will help to create professional development plans develop innovative resources and contribute to department and whole college improvement activity. You will also play an important role in the induction and ongoing development of teaching staff helping to embed professional habits reflective practice and high standards from day one.
