Teacher of Textiles (Maternity cover up to 12 months) MPS/UPS (Outer London) Ofsted Good – 2024 Commencing September 2026 Heathcote School and Science College is an inclusive community school with key values to Encourage, Challenge and Succeed. We are looking for a qualified and talented Teacher of Design Technology to teach across the ability range to GCSE and A Level. You will be working with and be supported by an experienced team of strong teachers and leaders. The successful candidate will work within the DT department covering Textiles. DT offers a carousel of opportunities at Key Stage 3 and many pupils take up specialist pathways at Key Stage 4 and 5, which provide unique opportunities for pupils to gain experiences and take up careers in these industries. The department is also supported by experienced technicians. This role is a maternity cover position for up to 12 months. We welcome applications from newly qualified or more experienced teachers that can demonstrate ambition, passion and impact whatever their journey so far. As an NQT or Beginner Teacher at Heathcote School, you will be supported by experienced colleagues on a range of issues relating to planning, teaching and assessing with a dedicated mentor and a skills development programme that will provide you with the experience required to be a successful practitioner in education.
