We are currently seeking a Teacher of Spanish to join our Languages Department as Head of Department. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about teaching Spanish at Key Stage 3 and 4 and eager to take on leadership responsibilities within the department. Position: Teacher of Spanish (Head of Department) Department: Languages Education Stage: Secondary Curriculum: Key Stage 4 & Key Stage 3 Minimum Experience: Experience Required Key Responsibilities: - Lead and manage the Spanish department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning. - Deliver engaging lessons in Spanish that meet the needs of all students at Key Stage 3 & 4. - Develop curriculum plans, resources, and assessments aligned with school policies. - Support colleagues within the department through mentoring and professional development. - Monitor student progress and implement strategies to improve outcomes. - Promote a positive attitude towards language learning across the school community. Skills and Qualifications: - Qualified teacher status or equivalent qualification suitable for teaching in UK secondary schools. - Strong subject knowledge in Spanish language and culture. - Excellent communication skills with students, parents, and staff members. - Leadership potential or experience desirable but not essential; training will be provided. - Ability to plan effectively for diverse learners including those with additional needs.
