You’ll be an enthusiastic and knowledgeable professional with a teaching qualification, a degree in Computing or a related subject, and relevant industry experience. Confident in delivering lessons and designing assessments, you will be able to adapt your teaching to meet a range of learner needs and qualification levels.
You will have expertise in areas such as programming, project management, cyber security, computer networks or software development, alongside excellent organisational and communication skills. Knowledge of Further Education is desirable, while strong digital, IT and AI literacy is essential.
We are seeking a teacher with specialist expertise in either Software Development or Cyber Security. Possession of skills and experience across both disciplines would be considered an added advantage.
Software Developer
You’ll have the skills to implement both front-end and back-end solutions and be proficient in Python, C#, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React or Angular, and Bootstrap or Tailwind CSS. For back-end development, you should be proficient in teaching ASP.NET Core MVC (#) or Laravel (PHP), with knowledge of SQL Server 2025 and MySQL databases, and a good understanding of ORM.
Cyber Security
You’ll be proficient in computer networks and security, including the use of simulation software such as Packet Tracer. You should be able to teach subnetting, VLSM, VLANs, routing protocols, endpoint device protection, ACLs, Syslog, Cisco ASA firewalls and DHCP Snooping. The focus is on securing organisational assets through the proactive implementation of risk assessment procedures.
