Teacher of Social Studies Salary: £32,916 to £51,084 Range: Main Pay Range or Upper Pay Range Start Date:1st September 2026 Contract Type: Full Time Contract Term: Fixed Term Contract (Maternity Cover) till 31st August 2027 Suitable for ECT: Yes Closing Date: 08:00am on Monday 29th 2026 (We reserve the right to close this vacancy early, early applications are encouraged) Interview Date: To be confirmed Wilmslow High School School age range: 11-18 Number on roll: approx. 2,000 (including 500 sixth form) We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and energetic Teacher of Social Studies to join our thriving and highly regarded Social Studies Team. Applications are encouraged from both early career or experienced teachers who are committed to teaching at the highest standard and raising the aspirations and achievements of our students. The role will require you to teach across Key Stage 3 Religious Studies. At Key stage 4 the successful candidate will need to be able to teach Sociology, with the ability to specialise at Key Stage 5. The role can be adapted depending on the specialism of the candidate, so a range of applications will be considered. This is an excellent opportunity to work with an exceptional team who have a well-structured curriculum, comprehensive resources and work collaboratively with the shared aim of creating the best learning opportunities for all.
