Teacher of Science, with possible Middle Leadership role

St George Madrid is a well established school located in a prime educational zone to the North of the capital. The school is a part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP). The successful candidate will be an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner, with experience of teaching Science across the secondary phase up to the end of Key Stage 5 (Year 13). Ideally, we are looking for someone with a specialism in Biology or Physics. We follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, followed by IGCSE at Key Stage 4 and the IB Diploma programme in our Sixth Form (Key Stage 5). Experience of teaching across this range would be a distinct advantage. We offer the individual sciences and the double award in the IGCSE programme, and all sciences HL/SL in the IB Diploma. There is an expectation that the successful candidate would teach across this range. Training would be provided for teachers who would like to develop to teach the IB Diploma programme so long as they have the subject knowledge required at this level. As part of the secondary team, the successful candidate would be expected to assist with developing the school's science programmes working within and as a member of our Science department.
