Key Responsibilities Teach assigned classes and groups in accordance with the National Curriculum, the School Curriculum, and departmental schemes of work. Plan and deliver high-quality lessons, set homework, and assess students’ work to ensure progress. Collaborate with the Head of Science and subject leads to develop and implement effective teaching strategies and schemes of work. Promote high standards of academic performance and behaviour, fostering enthusiasm for learning. Monitor and evaluate student achievement, using data to inform teaching and learning strategies. Participate in the review, development, and evaluation of the Science Department’s curriculum and action plans. Contribute to the school’s pastoral functions, including acting as a form tutor and delivering the PSHE programme. Actively engage in extra-curricular activities to enhance the student experience. Ensure the health and safety of students during school activities and trips. Requirements Qualified to degree level or above and eligible to teach in the UK. Demonstrable experience teaching Science at secondary school level, with the ability to teach across the full age and ability range.
