Post title: Teacher of Science Responsible to: Head of Science Salary: PT1 – ET3 Start date: September 2026 Purpose of the role To deliver high-quality Science teaching that secures excellent outcomes for all students, fosters curiosity and deep scientific understanding, and contributes to the continued success of a high-performing Science Department. Key responsibilities Teaching & Learning Teach Science across Key Stages 3 and 4, and Key Stage 5 where appropriate, in line with departmental needs and subject specialism Plan and deliver well-structured, engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners Set high expectations for behaviour, effort and achievement, establishing a calm and purposeful classroom environment Use assessment effectively to inform planning, provide timely feedback, and support students to make strong progress Secure strong outcomes in external examinations through excellent subject knowledge and clear explanations Safeguarding All applicants will be required to undertake the appropriate safeguarding and background checks.
