About this role
Thank you for your interest in our recent advertisement for the above position at Archway Learning Trust’s Bluecoat Aspley Academy. I have pleasure in enclosing details.
We invite applications for the post of Teacher of Science from outstanding, enthusiastic and successful teachers with a proven ability to teach inspirational lessons to our students. Interest from Early Careers Teachers is welcomed as are applications from more experienced colleagues who have a desire to contribute to the leadership of the team as the department grows through a Lead Teacher position.
The successful applicant will have the opportunity to work closely with the Head of Department, SLT and colleagues from across the Trust, so a desire to collaborate is welcomed. Equally as important will be the aspiration to be part of our visionary staff team and growing school community. We are looking for teachers who have the ambition to shape the school into an outstanding provider. Candidates should consider the school’s ethos and values to ensure these align with their own. This is an exciting time to join Bluecoat Trent as we design the curriculum for our first Key Stage 4 cohort and implement this in our brand new, £30 million school premises, equipped with 9 brand new labs and prep-room.
Archway Learning Trust, previously Bluecoat Academies Trust was formed in April 2014 as a result of the very long and successful history of Bluecoat Academy. We welcomed three further secondary schools in Derby to the Trust in 2021 and opened Bluecoat Trent Academy, a secondary Free School in Nottingham in September 2021. The Trust now comprises of Bluecoat Aspley Academy, Bluecoat Sixth Form, Bluecoat Wollaton Academy, Bluecoat Beechdale Academy, Bluecoat Primary Academy, The Nottingham Emmanuel School and Sixth Form, Bluecoat Trent Academy, The Long Eaton School, Lees Brook Academy, Alvaston Moor Academy and the Bluecoat SCITT Alliance (School Centred Initial Teacher Training).
