The Role
We are seeking to appoint an inspirational Teacher of Religious Education to join our Humanities faculty from September 2026.
Hoe Valley School is a non-faith free school, where religious diversity is valued and respected by staff and students. Students represent a range of religious beliefs, with Muslims and Christians making up the largest groups, along with those who do not have a faith.
RE is part of the Humanities Faculty, and alongside history and geography, students receive discrete lessons in each subject. All students in Years 7 and 8 receive one RE lesson a week, and are taught in mixed ability groups. Hoe Valley School operates a three-year Key Stage 4 programme, with around 20-25 students each year choosing RE as an option subject, and has enjoyed good results in recent years. Key S
