The Department
The Humanities Directorate is a supportive and dedicated department staffed by a small and cohesive team who work together to achieve excellent outcomes for students. The department comprises RE, History and Geography at key stages 3 and 4, with the addition of Criminology, Law, Psychology and Sociology in the sixth form. The Directorate is at the forefront of the Academy’s co-curricular offer and runs a wide range of trips to enhance student understanding of individual subjects, as well as improve students’ life experiences.
The Role
We are looking for an RE teacher who:
has excellent subject knowledge in Religious Education at all key stages
is experienced in teaching KS3, KS4 and KS5
is able to engage and motivate pupils to reach beyond their potential
plans and delivers outstanding lessons
will mark, feedback and report on RE assessments with a focus on improving students through success
will actively contribute to department meetings and build strong relationships with others
TLR focus to lead and be responsible for KS3 RE
