About this role
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional Teacher of Psychology to join our successful Sixth Form and inspire students through engaging, dynamic, and academically rigorous teaching. The successful candidate will teach Psychology across the Sixth Form, planning and delivering lessons that challenge and support pupils of varying abilities, ensuring that all students achieve their full potential. They will have a strong understanding of current educational practice, be committed to high standards of teaching and learning, and be keen to embrace the use of digital technologies to enhance the student experience as part of our ongoing commitment as a Microsoft Showcase School. The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the continued development of the Psychology curriculum, create innovative learning resources, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure excellent outcomes for our students.
We are looking for a teacher who can foster intellectual curiosity and encourage students to engage critically with psychological theories, research, and contemporary issues. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic communicator, capable of building positive relationships with pupils, parents, and colleagues alike. Whether an experienced teacher or an ambitious early career professional with the right skills and enthusiasm, they will be passionate about their subject and committed to helping students develop confidence, independence, and a lifelong love of learning.
Beyond the classroom, the successful candidate will play an active role in the wider life of our boarding school community, contributing to pastoral care, the co-curricular programme, and the School's full boarding ethos. Teachers are expected to undertake tutorial responsibilities, support a boarding house, and participate in a small number of evening and weekend duties each term, helping to create a supportive and enriching environment for our pupils.
