TEACHER OF PHYSICS
MPS/UPR (Outer London)
Full-time from January 2027
This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Teacher of Physics, to share their knowledge and love of their subject in our vibrant, caring and diverse community, where a ‘Love of Learning’ is evident in every student interaction.
We are proud to have such consistently large cohorts of students opting to take A level Physics, many of whom go on to study Engineering, and other Science related courses at Russell Group universities. We provide a rigorous and supportive education and a broad range of co-curricular opportunities to extend student learning, including undertaking the challenge of competitions such as Salters, CanSat, IRIS, Crest Awards and Physics Olympiads.
Early Career Teachers are very welcome to apply - we support the development of new teachers through an excellent ECT training programme and the Science departments are very supportive in their approach.
Candidates suitable for the role will:
have strong subject knowledge and a passion for Physics. New teachers will be supported in developing the knowledge and skills necessary for teaching to A level over a period of time
be confident teaching all three sciences to Key Stage 3, and Physics at GCSE, albeit they are taught as discrete subjects
be willing to use a range of strategies to teach across the ability range
be passionate about personal and professional development and demonstrate a willingness to engage with the findings of evidence-based research through our whole school CPD programme.
