Teacher of Physics

St George Madrid is a well established school located in a prime educational zone to the North of the capital. The school is a part of the International Schools Partnership (ISP). This is a collection of over 100 schools across 21 countries with a united focus on how to grow internationally minded students through strategic outstanding practice. St George Madrid operates on a large campus with many new and developing facilities. The school has seen significant growth in recent years, with potential for more. The successful candidate will be an experienced and enthusiastic practitioner, with experience of teaching Science and Physics across the secondary phase up to the end of Key Stage 5 (Year 13). We follow the English National Curriculum at Key Stage 3, followed by IGCSE at Key Stage 4 and the IB Diploma programme in our Sixth Form (Key Stage 5). Experience of teaching across this range would be a distinct advantage. We offer combined and individual sciences in the IGCSE programme and Physics at HL/SL in the IB Diploma. There is an expectation that the successful candidate would teach across this range. Training would be provided for teachers who would like to develop to teach the IB Diploma programme so long as they have the subject knowledge required at this level. As part of the secondary team, the successful candidate would be expected to assist with developing the school's Physics programme working within and as a member of our Science department.
