As our Senior School continues to grow, Kent College West Cairo is seeking an exceptional Physics teacher to join our forward-thinking team. This is an exciting opportunity to shape the future of the College, contributing to our first set of external exam results. The successful candidate must be able to teach IGCSE physics to students in Years 9-11.
We are looking for an ambitious, highly effective practitioner who is ready to take initiative, influence curriculum design, and make a measurable impact. The candidate must have experience of teaching and delivering outcomes in IGCSE Physics.
Main ResponsibilitiesDeliver engaging, challenging, and developmentally appropriate lessons aligned with the UK curriculum.
Lead on the planning and development of Physics , including the ability to teach at IGCSE level.
Design and implement high-quality assessment to ensure excellent progress for all learners.
Create and maintain a positive, stimulating, and inclusive learning environment.
Track pupil progress, provide timely feedback, and communicate effectively with parents and school leadership.
Collaborate closely with colleagues to develop whole-school initiatives, digital strategy, and cross-curricular innovation.
Contribute actively to the pastoral care and well-being of students.
Participate fully in school events, professional development, and wider school life.
Apply effective differentiation strategies to support learners with diverse needs.
Qualifications & ExperienceA relevant teaching degree and QTS (Qualified Teacher Status).
Strong working knowledge of the UK National Curriculum.
Proven classroom experience, demonstrating excellent outcomes and high expectations.
