Josef-Schwarz-School is a state-recognised bilingual school with campuses in Heilbronn and Erlenbach in southern Germany. For our Secondary School campus in Heilbronn, we are seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Teacher of Music (in part-time) to join our international team.
The roleYou will plan and deliver engaging Music lessons that combine practical music-making, musical theory and creative expression. We are looking for a teacher who can inspire students with different levels of musical experience and create an inclusive learning environment in which they can develop confidence, creativity and collaboration skills.
The role also offers the opportunity to contribute to the wider musical life of the school through performances, ensembles, projects, clubs or interdisciplinary activities.
Your responsibilitiesTeach Music to students at Secondary School level
Plan lessons in line with the relevant Baden-Württemberg curriculum
Develop creative, practical and academically challenging learning opportunities
Teach musical foundations, theory and practical skills in a differentiated and student-centred way
Support students with a wide range of musical abilities, interests and backgrounds
Encourage musical expression, confidence and teamwork
Contribute to concerts, performances and school-wide projects
Collaborate with colleagues in an international and interdisciplinary team
Your profileA recognised teaching qualification for Secondary Education, such as Qualified Teacher Status or a qualification equivalent to the German Second State Examination
Alternatively, a relevant Master’s degree in Music, Music Education or Musicology
Strong subject knowledge and a genuine enthusiasm for teaching Music
Experience of, or interest in, creative and competence-based teaching approaches
