About this role
We are seeking to appoint a teacher of Modern Foreign Languages, with Spanish specialism, from September 2026. The advertised post is part-time, to cover a maternity leave and will last approximately one term.
This is an opportunity to join a lively and diverse Modern Languages department, teaching in both the Sixth Form and at Senior School.
The role would be based at Senior School (Years 7-11). Here French and Spanish are taught as part of the core curriculum at Key Stage 3 and both subjects are available as GCSEs in Key Stage 4. Teaching is in classes of up to 15 students, although option groups for GCSE are generally smaller.
At Sixth Form, teaching is in small groups which are sometimes subdivided to enable second language learners and bilingual/native speakers to progress at appropriate rates. These small groups enable us to focus on students’ individual needs and help them to achieve their full potential.
