Our Year 6 students participate in a distinctive transition programme designed to bridge the gap between Primary and Secondary education, providing a strong academic and pastoral foundation that prepares students for success within the Cambridge curriculum and beyond. What you’ll do Deliver engaging, high-impact Mathematics and Science lessons aligned to the Cambridge and UK curricula, inspiring students to develop confidence, curiosity and a genuine appreciation of mathematical and scientific concepts. Plan inquiry-rich learning experiences that promote mathematical reasoning, scientific investigation, problem-solving, critical thinking and independent learning. Support students through the transition from Primary to Secondary education, fostering resilience, organisation, study skills and increasing academic independence. Use assessment effectively to inform teaching, identify interventions and provide clear, timely and meaningful feedback to students and parents. Differentiate learning to meet the needs of multilingual learners and students with varying levels of prior attainment. Contribute to the wider life of the school through tutoring, enrichment activities, clubs and collaborative curriculum initiatives. Work closely with colleagues across the Boys Secondary & Senior School to ensure continuity and progression within the Mathematics and Science curricula.
