We are seeking an exceptional Teacher of Physical Education to join our expanding Secondary & Senior Schools.
What you’ll do
Plan and deliver high-impact PE lessons (KS3–KS4; KS5/IB DP desirable) aligned to the Cambridge/UK curriculum.
Build students’ physical literacy, fitness, teamwork, leadership, and resilience across a broad activity offer (games, athletics, fitness, swimming desirable).
Use assessment to inform teaching and interventions; provide clear, timely feedback to students and parents.
Lead or assist with co-curricular sport (teams, training, fixtures, tournaments, sports days) and contribute to whole-school wellbeing initiatives.
Ensure best practice in safeguarding, inclusion, risk assessments, and health & safety across PE spaces and events.
Collaborate closely within the PE department on curriculum mapping, data, and enrichment.
About you
Degree in Physical Education / Sport Science (or closely related field) and a recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE/QTS or international equivalent).
Successful experience teaching PE within the Cambridge and/or UK curriculum; proven impact at IGCSE/GCSE PE (A-Level or IB DP Sports, Exercise and Health Science an advantage).
Strong classroom and practical teaching, inclusive strategies for multilingual learners, and confident use of digital tools (video analysis, performance tracking, Google/Microsoft).
Coaching badges and/or officiating qualifications (e.g., netball/football/athletics/swimming) are highly valued; First Aid/Lifeguard desirable.
