Job Role
To deliver engaging ICT and Business Studies lessons across Key Stages, foster digital literacy and commercial awareness, and inspire students to become confident, responsible, and innovative learners prepared for the modern world.
Job Responsibilities
Plan and deliver high-quality ICT and Business Studies lessons in line with the school curriculum
Teach computing concepts, including digital literacy, programming, computational thinking, and online safety
Teach Business Studies topics including enterprise, marketing, finance, operations, human resources, and business strategy
Prepare students for success in external examinations where appropriate
Integrate technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning across all areas of the curriculum
Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students
Contribute to curriculum development and innovation within the ICT and Business departments
Promote responsible use of technology, e-safety awareness, and ethical business practices
Support students in developing critical thinking, problem-solving, entrepreneurial, and decision-making skills
Participate fully in school events, enrichment activities, professional development, and wider school life
Contribute to the school's pastoral and safeguarding responsibilities
Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in ICT, Computer Science, Business, Economics, or a related subject
Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., or equivalent)
Experience teaching ICT and/or Business Studies within a British curriculum school
Ability to teach ICT/Computing across Key Stages and Business Studies to GCSE level
Experience teaching GCSE Business Studies (desirable)
Strong knowledge of coding, digital tools, emerging technologies, and contemporary business concepts
Excellent classroom management, organisational, and communication skills
