We are seeking a dynamic and innovative professional with a passion for teaching Mathematics and a real commitment to a holistic education at The British International School, Cairo.
Applications are invited from qualified Mathematics teachers, with previous experience of teaching within the National Curriculum for England or a British-style setting with experience in teaching IB Higher Level Maths. The successful candidate will be expected to teach Mathematics across the Senior School including GCSE and IB. The school has excellent facilities and resources for teaching Mathematics. The Mathematics Department works effectively as a team sharing ideas and promoting learning. It is a very popular department, and our students value and love the subject. We offer an accelerated Maths route for the more able and a variety of courses within the IB diploma programme.

Person Specification
- Graduate in Mathematics or a related subject with a teaching degree and a minimum of three years teaching experience;
- Enthusiastic and innovative teacher with a genuine passion for teaching, who can motivate and inspire students using a variety of strategies;
- Recent experience teaching Mathematics within the National Curriculum for England and (I)GCSE, A level or IB. Experience in teaching IB Maths HL is desirable;
- Includes assessment for learning as an integral part of classroom practice;
- Understands how to stretch more able students and support pupils;
- Works collaboratively as a member of a team;
