Teacher of History

The Governors are seeking to appoint an ambitious and dynamic full time Teacher of History. The successful candidate will join this key department, teaching across all key stages. The post-holder will set high expectations for all pupils, deepening their knowledge and understanding and maximising achievement in this subject area. Bellerive FCJ Catholic College is a highly aspirational school located In Liverpool and is a single academy where decision-making and expenditure remains within the control of the school. The History Department are committed to an ambitious and exciting curriculum from KS3 through to KS5. We are rated as ‘Expected Standard’ school by Ofsted (March 2026) and Outstanding in the Catholic Schools’ inspection carried out in April 2024. MAIN JOB PURPOSE Teach a coherent and progressive History programme for all pupils from Year 7 to 6th Form, ensuring the highest standards of teaching and learning are achieved. Communicate a passion for learning, with a flexible and imaginative approach to teaching.
