The Foundation Learning Department provides person-centred programmes for students aged 16–22 with Education Health and Care Plans. Students have a wide range of needs including communication and language, cognition and learning, social, emotional and mental health, sensory and physical needs, and medical conditions. The department is committed to supporting each student to achieve their full potential and progress successfully into adulthood.

We offer a broad and engaging curriculum, combining accredited qualifications with enrichment activities that develop independence, confidence and life skills. These include enterprise, employability skills, healthy living, travel training, arts, sport and practical life skills.
