TEACHER of FOOD TECHNOLOGY

We are looking for a talented and ambitious Food Technology Teacher to start in September 2026. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing the department’s vision, curriculum, and standards. This role is part time (0.5). THE DEPARTMENT The Food Technology Department is a newly established area within the school, offering an exciting opportunity for the successful candidate to shape its direction and identity from the outset. As the founding member of the department, the Teacher of Food Technology will play a pivotal role in building a dynamic, innovative, and sustainable programme that aligns with the school’s academic and pastoral values. The department will focus on delivering a broad and engaging curriculum that develops students’ practical cooking skills, nutritional knowledge, and understanding of food in a global and environmental context. The successful candidate will be responsible for, establishing the department’s vision, curriculum, and standards. Developing schemes of work and assessment frameworks, creating an inspiring and well-equipped learning environment. Managing resources, budgets, and food sourcing. Embedding excellent health, safety, and hygiene practices. Promoting Food Technology as a valued and visible subject within the school. As the department develops, there may be opportunities to expand staffing and broaden the curriculum offering. The role therefore requires a proactive, forward-thinking individual who is enthusiastic about creating a high-quality provision and contributing to the wider educational and boarding experience.
