The Royal Alexandra & Albert School is a ‘Good’ school (Ofsted, April 2024), where our boarding provision was recently judged as ‘Outstanding’ (Ofsted, 2025). The inspectors highlighted that our “students are making significant progress,” noting they are “supported through a culture of high expectation, helping them to achieve the best they can.” We are a lively and purposeful co-educational, comprehensive state boarding school for children aged 7 to 18 years, with approximately 700 flexi-boarders and 300 full boarders. Our students study Cooking and Nutrition at both Key Stage 2 and 3 and have the option of studying Food Preparation and Nutrition at GCSE. It is a popular subject in which students thrive and achieve well.
We are looking for a teacher who can provide highly effective and innovative teaching of Food Preparation and Nutrition, to ensure that all our pupils make excellent progress and inspire students to have a passion for the subject.
The successful candidate will be:
Passionate about the teaching of Food Preparation and Nutrition
An excellent practitioner
Able to teach Food Preparation and Nutrition to Key Stage 2, 3 and 4.
Enthusiastic about his/her own professional development.
