Please note that this is not a Teacher of English as a Foreign Language position. Rather, it is a Teacher of English position focused on teaching English Literature and Language Arts to native or fluent English-speaking students. Essential requirements: Education – Bachelor’s degree in the relevant subject Qualified teacher status (Ed.M., PGCE, QTS or Teacher credential) Minimum of two years of teaching experience – IGCSE and IB English – preferred Compliance with Mexican visa requirements Compliance with safeguarding protocols (Background Check / Training / Positive references) Greengates School offers for international hires: An initial two-year contract Initial contract flight, where applicable Generous local salary, according to qualifications and experience Relocation allowance (formerly referred to as the sterling allowance) Gratuity of two months' salary at the end of the first two-year contract National health insurance Private Medical Insurance for major illness and injury (Note: preexisting medical conditions/procedures/illness are not covered, and the school is allowed to request a medical report if needed) Annual airfare subsidy Rent subsidy Assistance in renting accommodation (2 km radius from school) and advice on renting accommodation downtown Support with immigration and administrative processes, including obtaining and renewing a resident card, tax registration and opening a bank account.
